Sarasota, FL (PRWEB) December 16, 2014
Centauri Insurance, a multi-regional homeowners carrier based in Sarasota, announced today that it will provide homeowners coverage in Florida this month. Centauri Insurance already provides homeowners insurance and other coverages to more than 40,000 residents in seven other states, including Alabama, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Texas.
The company provides residential insurance products, including homeowners, tenants, dwelling fire, condominium, flood and specialty lines of residential hurricane and earthquake.
According to Rick Espino, president of Centauri Insurance, the company’s launch of homeowners coverage in Florida is particularly timely. “Homeowners in Florida have always faced significant challenges when it comes to catastrophic exposure,” he said. “Centauri’s expertise and extensive knowledge of Florida conditions and risks are a perfect fit for Sunshine State residents,” he said. “We’re excited to be doing business where we live.”
Kelsey Baker, Centauri vice president of specialty lines, added that Centauri Insurance has proven itself in major storm situations and has amassed a notable record of success in dealing with claims in hurricane-prone states. The reason, according to Baker is a business model that places a premium on smart, fiscally prudent operations. “That allows us to ensure financial stability through any kind of storm – whether everyday occurrences or catastrophic events,” she said.
Centauri is led by a seasoned management team, including Espino, president and chief executive officer, Lora Rees, chief operating officer, and Baker, who will oversee Florida operations. Baker has over 10 years of industry experience, with a background in risk management, analytics and strategic operations in the Florida market.
Caroline Hallett will serve as the regional sales manager for Florida. “Centauri’s entry into Florida provides agents with additional capacity and a responsiveness that helps them better serve their customers,” she said. “Centauri is a strong, stable and storm-savvy carrier for the agents’ homeowner business that provides a broader range of coverage options. We are looking forward to establishing productive relationships with Florida agents.”
