Launched December 1st of 2014, Tea of the People is set to disrupt North America's $10 billion tea industry with its inaugural lineup of innovative teas. The Toronto-based company is barrel aging and blending the most antioxidant rich green tea in the world, with the most nutrient-dense super fruit. Tea of the People is already garnering a lot of attention, with glowing profiles written about the start-up by food industry thought-leaders like Food Navigator USA. Industry leaders are eager to lock Founder and Stanford University graduate, Josh Caplan into speaking opportunities to share his company's vision.The social entrepreneur will be speaking on using business as a tool for good in Mumbai, India in February at the World CSR Congress and at the 8th Annual Food Technology & Innovation in Chicago on April 14th, where he will share his vision on the future of food alongside top brass from Coca-Cola, Wrigley and Chobani.

Each blend by Tea of the People possesses the most antioxidant-rich teas around and ingredients that are both rare and meticulous to produce. Tea of the People is aiming to be among the most socially conscious companies in the tea industry. Inspired by the likes of TOMS Shoes and online designer eyewear company Warby Parker, Tea of the People dedicates a portion of its profits to those who are making a difference in the world. The socially-conscious company will be donating a portion of December's profits to Medic Mobile, a non-profit organization advancing healthcare in the developing world leveraging SMS technology.
