Greenberg Traurig’s Philip Sellinger to be Honored at Rabbinical College of America’s National Founders’ Dinner
MORRISTOWN, N.J. (PRWEB) December 15, 2014 -- Sellinger to Receive 2014 Rabbinical College Honorary Doctor of Law Degree
Philip Sellinger, co-managing shareholder of international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s New Jersey office and co-chair of the firm’s Global Litigation Practice, will receive an honorary doctorate from Rabbinical College of America at the National Founders’ Dinner. The dinner is Monday, Dec. 15 at Hilton Meadowlands Hotel in East Rutherford.
The Rabbinical College of America educates students “in all aspects of advanced Jewish scholarship and trains for careers as rabbis, teachers and community leaders.” Other recipients of the 2014 Rabbinical College Honorary Doctor of Law Degree include Sen. Robert Menendez, Dr. Charles Bedzow and Sara Bedzow of Groupe Pacific and His Excellency Ambassador of Israel Ron Dermer.
“I am humbled to receive an honorary doctorate from Rabbinical College of America, an institute that upholds the ideals of the Jewish people and is a prominent part of the New Jersey community,” said Sellinger. “I am in great company with my fellow honorees.”
Sellinger has more than 30 years of trial experience in a wide variety of class actions and complex cases around the country. He is the founding chair of the Class Action Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association and is on the board of directors for the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. Among his many accolades, Sellinger has received the American Jewish Committee Learned Hand Award, the Arts Horizon Celeste Holm Humanitarian Award, and a Distinguished Legal Services Award from The Corporate Times. He has also been recognized as a leading lawyer by Chambers and Partners USA, Best Lawyers and Super Lawyers.
