In order to effectively and efficiently track their employees’ time and attendance, Mac-It chose to implement the NE Time Systems solution and NT450 time clocks.
Prior to implementing the NE Time Systems solution, Mac-It employed a paper-based time clock punch card. Managers would manually calculate daily totals, rounding to the tenth of an hour, and would provide these totals to Teala O’Shea in Human Resources. Ms. O’Shea would in turn review the rounding, and then manually calculate overtime. The overall process was time consuming, and setting daily time aside for these activities was a frustration for managers. NE Time Systems resolved this issue immediately.
The NE Time Systems solution is a workforce management solution with time, attendance, scheduling, leave, accruals, and reporting features. In addition to automatically calculating time, both the managers and Ms. O’Shea appreciate that managers can access the system to review vacation balances without having to ask Human Resources. Another benefit they enjoy is the system’s ability to automatically post holidays.
The NT450 push technology smart clock kiosks communicate consistently despite challenges with differing IT infrastructure between locations. With push technology, time punches are uploaded in real-time, providing Mac-It’s system users with the most up-to-date and accurate information available.
Speaking of the system, Ms. O’Shea says, “I am very happy with it. Once in a while something will come up that I don’t know how to do. When it does, I call Technical Support.”
