Bluffton, SC (PRWEB) December 17, 2014
Colleton River Golf Academy’s Director of Instruction, David La Pour, was recently recognized as a TrackMan Master Operator. Used by more than 150 tour players, 68 universities, and 40 different countries in the world, TrackMan is the premier launch monitoring device in the game of golf. Currently there are only 50 worldwide Masters and 9 PGA members with Master status in the United States.
TrackMan A/S is a Danish technology company that develops, manufactures and sells 3D ball flight measurement equipment used in different sports. Today, TrackMan A/S is a world leader in ball flight and club data measurements, and the company is considered to have set the industry standards for accuracy in golf.
“In golf, if knowledge is power, then TrackMan wins the long drive competition. The modern launch monitor uses three Doppler radars to measure club delivery, ball, and launch parameters mandatory for game improvement and club fitting. It has helped our students understand and improve their golf so they can enjoy it more” La Pour said.
David La Pour has been a PGA Golf Professional for 23 years including eight years with Dave Pelz. He also started the WP Golf Institute in St. Paul Minnesota before joining the Colleton River Golf Academy. David was named one of the “Best Teachers in South Carolina” by Golf Digest magazine’s November 2013 edition, and received the 2013 Hilton Head Chapter PGA Teacher of the Year award. He was also recognized as one of "America's Top Golf Instructors" in 2002 by CRCA and was named as one of the Top Teaching Professionals in Minnesota 2005-2006 and 2007-2008 by Golf Digest.
