New Roads Behavioral Health opens second treatment facility in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (PRWEB) December 17, 2014 -- New Roads Behavioral Health based out of Sandy, Utah announces the opening of their new drug and alcohol rehab facility in sunny Fort Lauderdale, Florida. New Roads’ Florida location is a therapeutic, residential drug treatment center that treats young adults ages 18 to 28 struggling with drug and alcohol addiction and other co-occurring disorders.
“This beautiful sixteen bed, bungalow-style facility is a secluded, peaceful escape for young adults needing to escape their daily routine and focus on living life free from the confines of addiction. The property, surrounded by palm trees and vegetation, provides a feeling of calm relaxation for our clients,” said Program Director, Corey Markisch, MBA and LSAC. “New Roads is different than other treatment centers. The staff has a dedication and willingness for healthy living that trickles down to the clients. It truly is a special place,”
Clients are given individualized treatment from Masters level therapists who implement the same effective techniques and treatment methods as the New Roads Salt Lake City location. The program utilizes a myriad of modalities including: Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy 12 Steps, and EMDR therapies. Using these modalities, therapists are able to get to the root of the client’s addiction to address the underlying causes.
A key component to instilling an addict with hope for a successful recovery is through sober activities that boost one’s confidence, support a healthy lifestyle, and encourage genuine interaction and communication with peers without the presence of drugs and alcohol. To do this, the Florida facility offers dozens of recreational activities for the clients including kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, trips to the beach and the Florida Keys, and more.
With a heavy focus on relapse prevention skills, essential to life after treatment, the Florida treatment facility also offers transitional services for individuals who complete the first phase of treatment. Transitional services include transitional living, outpatient treatment, and vocational training.
