Greenberg Traurig Hosts Environmental and Energy Post-Election Implications Webinar
WASHINGTON (PRWEB) December 15, 2014 -- International law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP hosted a free Post-Election Update and Analysis webinar on environmental and energy implications Dec. 8, 2014, at the firm’s Washington, D.C. offices. The informative webinar was open to industry professionals and provided an analysis of how election results could affect policymaking and regulatory decision making. Topics included key committee personnel changes, proposed climate change and other air emissions rules, alternate energy/tax extenders, the Keystone Pipeline, and Toxic Substances Reform Act reform.
Panelists included Greenberg Traurig’s Government Law & Policy Practice Senior Directors Albert Wynn, Peter Hoekstra and Charles F. Bass. Jerry Stouck, shareholder and co-chair of the Government Litigation Practice, moderated the panel.
Wynn is a former member of the U.S. House of Representatives, representing Maryland’s 4th Congressional District. He served 12 years on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, including two years as chairman of its Subcommittee on Environmental and Hazardous Materials.
Hoekstra served nine terms representing Michigan’s 2nd Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. He served as both chairman and ranking member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and was deeply engaged in labor and education issues, as well as congressional oversight.
Bass served as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives for New Hampshire’s 2nd Congressional District from 1995 to 2007 and from 2011 to 2013. During his 14-year tenure in Congress, he served on the Budget; Government Reform and Oversight; Transportation and Infrastructure; Intelligence; and Energy and Commerce committees.
