Eduplanet21 Releases New Software to Further Enhance Educator Professional Learning
MECHANICSBURG, PA (PRWEB) December 18, 2014 -- Just in time for the New Year, Eduplanet21 will roll out its new software platform designed to modernize and transform the way Professional Learning is offered to educators. The core features provide an enhanced user interface, new organizational and planning tools and easier access to content allowing more opportunities for collaboration.
Eduplanet21 CEO, Jeff Colosimo, explains, "The features of the new software were based on user feedback and best practices to create a connected community where educators are able and encouraged to share best practices and ultimately learn together."
The first benefit users will experience is the organized and enhanced main landing page appropriately named the “homeroom.” From here, users can navigate to any of the following tools that comprise the core features of Eduplanet21’s new software.
PD Planner is designed for easy goal setting, planning and tracking personal learning plans. The administrator’s section allows users to track goals and maintain a systems view of professional learning. The teacher’s section allows users to develop a personal learning plan in which they determine how and when learning will take place.
Institutes are virtual professional learning communities dedicated to a specific organization or topic. They provide users with a dynamic and powerful social learning environment focused on collaboration through access to digital resources, discussions and best practices.
Learning Paths are designed to provide flexible and sustained just-in-time learning on a specific topic. Each path consists of mixed media explorations made up of modules and lessons. Participants work collaboratively with other educators and learn at their own pace while deepening their knowledge and practice on specific topics.
The Marketplace is a rapidly growing network of K12 service agencies, published authors and businesses all dedicated to providing high-quality professional learning. In the Connected Educator Marketplace users can access Institutes and Learning Paths to enhance their learning experience.
For a limited time, Eduplanet21 is offering a Professional Learning Pilot Program that will allow select school districts early access to, and discounted pricing on their solution. Participating school districts can take advantage of a cutting-edge, professional learning solution at a fraction of the cost. This program will run from January 1 through June 30, 2015.
