John Moncrief has recently received the Certified Mineral Manager designation by the National Association of Royalty Owners located in Tulsa, OK. To achieve the CMM, John completed a series of tests that measures a candidate’s proficiency in legal elements of mineral management, financial transactions, and regulatory policies and procedures. The CMM designation acknowledges John’s ability to deal with complex oil and gas transactions and issues.
John’s responsibilities for Clear Fork Royalty include mineral acquisition negotiations and relations. John has experience acquiring minerals in oil and gas basins throughout the country. He has maintained relations with owners from over 200+ counties across 23 states. John is a graduate of Texas Christian University completing a dual degree in Applied Geo Science and Entrepreneurial Management. John also received a minor in Energy Technology and Management. In addition to the CMM, John is also a registered landman (RL) with the Association of Petroleum Landmen. He is an active member of AAPL, NARO, Geological Society of America and serves on the Junior Committee of the Fort Worth Petroleum Club. Locally, he serves on the committee of the Delta Waterfowl Cowtown Chapter and the Stephen McDaniel Memorial Shoot.
