Goldfarb’s Nurse Anesthesia Program Receives International Accreditation
ST. LOUIS (PRWEB) December 17, 2014 -- Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College’s nurse anesthesia program has become the second in the country, and the fourth in the world, to be accredited by the International Federation of Nurse Anesthetists (IFNA).
Accreditation by the IFNA, a member-based organization made up of 36 countries, means the nurse anesthesia program at Goldfarb meets the highest tier of educational standards set by the IFNA. The accreditation gives notoriety to Goldfarb’s educational program as being one of the best programs internationally to educate nurse anesthetists. It also adds value to the program, and to students’ learning experiences, by providing recognition of the faculty’s efforts to meet quality standards.
“To be among the first programs accredited speaks to the dedication of our entire faculty and anesthesia providers who comprise our team. We are student - and patient - centered in our approach to educating nurse anesthetists,” says Bernadette Henrichs, PhD, CRNA, CCRN, Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College nurse anesthesia program director and professor.
