Utrip’s Traveler Insight Reports Reveal the Why of Travel Behavior - Utrip Announces New Funding, and New Clients
Seattle, WA (PRWEB) December 17, 2014 -- Utrip, a free travel planning platform that creates personalized itineraries in minutes, announced today the availability of a new analytics offering: Traveler Insight Reports. The reports detail aggregated demographic, psychographic and behavioral pattern information, giving the travel industry insight into why travelers behave as they do.
Now available to any of the 35 destinations that Utrip serves, the Insight Reports disclose how travelers describe themselves, their interests, and budget, along with the activities that most appeal to them. The reports also provide information on how shoulder-season travelers differ from high-season or low-season travelers.
In addition, Utrip announced the closing of an additional $850,000, bringing the total funding for the year to $1.6 million. Utrip added to its client base, signing its first hotel client, Personality Hotels in San Francisco, as well as Visit Spokane and the tourism office of Munich, Germany. Finally, San Diego has been added to Utrip’s stable of destinations and in November, Utrip released its companion mobile app for Android. Utrip’s mobile app provides access to itineraries, directions and personalized recommendations while on the go. The Android version follows the iPhone version, which was released in July.
“Utrip has had a momentous fourth quarter—winning the TechFlash Cup, launching our new Insight Reports, and presenting to thousands of travel professionals at PhoCusWright in Los Angeles and Buy Tourism Online in Florence,” said Gilad Berenstein, chief executive officer and founder of Utrip. “We have been able to turn that momentum into new funding and new clients. Clearly the market is responding to our artificial intelligence-based approach to personalized travel planning.”
