New Android App Helps Independent Service Providers Easily Schedule Appointments and Reduce Client No-shows
Oradea, Romania (PRWEB) December 18, 2014 -- Mobiversal today unveiled Appointfix, a completely new Android app that lets independent service providers easily schedule appointments, while on the phone with their clients, and reduce no-shows by automatically sending them text message reminders.
Appointfix can be used by any independent service provider accepting appointments over phone, including but not limited to: hair stylists, make up artists, manicurists, estheticians, personal trainers, sport coaches, pilates instructors, golf instructors, yoga instructors, massage therapists, physical therapists, homeopathic practitioners, acupuncturists, osteopaths, chiropractors, dentists, vets, nutritionists, dermatologists, handymen, babysitters, house cleaners, dog walkers, gardeners, counselors, consultants, driving instructors, tattoo artists, photographers, DJs, language instructors, and music teachers.
According to numbers from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, there are over 8 million people that fall into these categories. Statistics also say that, for most businesses that depend on appointments, 20% of clients fail to show.
Unlike other scheduling software that are built to be used mainly on computers, Appointfix was built from the ground up with mobile in mind. Appointfix is integrated on the Call Screen, so while speaking with a client the user swipes on the app’s icon and will quickly be able to see available times. The app autofills the client’s information (name and phone number), all that’s left is to pick a time, choose a service (or leave the default one), and it’s set! Once the appointment is saved, the app takes care of sending text message reminders to the client.
“There are at least 2 situations that led us to building this app. We had a close friend that owned a dog grooming business and many times, she was frustrated because clients failed to show up for appointments. So she started manually sending text message reminders every evening, which was time consuming. Another situation was when making appointments to our dentists, there were times when they would say: ”Please call me tomorrow when I’m in the office, so I can check my appointment book...”.
It became clear to us that they needed an app that allows them to schedule appointments on their smartphone right when they’re talking with clients, so Appointfix was born. The idea is simple: Save an appointment super fast, starting right from the Call Screen, and when the appointment is coming up, the app will automatically send a text message reminder to the client.
