Utica College Now Live with Parchment eTranscript Service
Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) December 18, 2014 -- Parchment is pleased to announce that effective today, Utica College, a four-year private, not-for-profit institution based in Utica, New York is live with Parchment. Current Utica students and Utica alumni are able to request and track the delivery of their official Utica transcripts to a university or organization of their choice, safely and securely with just a few clicks.
Prior to selecting Parchment, Utica College managed all transcripts in paper form which resulted in significant time invested in the scanning and uploading processes. In paper form, these transcripts were in multiple formats, a legacy issue difficult to overcome. By engaging Parchment, Utica College offers an improved experience for students and alumni to move all of their order requests online, a one-stop shop to request and track the delivery of their official transcripts and the ability to send legacy transcripts.
“We are very excited to kick-off our relationship with Parchment,” said Lynn A. Decker, M.B.A., Assistant Registrar for Academic Services, Utica College. “The ease of ordering online combined with the integration with our Student Information System, Ellucian will allow our office to focus on how we can better serve our students and deliver a first-class solution.”
For more than a decade, Parchment has proven that sending transcripts electronically is secure, efficient and allows for the reinvestment of resources to further support students. More than 20% of secondary enrollments and more than 15% of postsecondary enrollments in the US are able to request and deliver their official credentials through Parchment.
“Utica College has established itself as a leading institution in New York and has put a stake in the ground that their student experience is second to none,” said Parchment CEO, Matthew Pittinsky, PhD. “Parchment and Utica College have united to not only send transcripts securely online but to create a user interface for students and alumni to track the status of their order, allowing them to track through to completion.”
Parchment is committed to operating in an environment of open standards where learners’ electronic credentials can be securely exchanged worldwide. Today, Parchment is the only organization recognized with the P20W Electronic Standards Council (PESC) Seal of Approval, for Parchment’s implementation of PESC Approved Standards. In addition, Parchment integrates with the Standardization of Postsecondary Education Data Exchange (SPEEDE) and is a signatory to G.R.E.E.N, the Global Registrar EduRecord Exchange Network™ for higher education.
