Whitehouse Laboratories Celebrates Ten Years as Sponsor of Morris County (NJ) Child Services Holiday Program
Morristown, NJ (PRWEB) December 23, 2014 -- As this holiday season approaches, Whitehouse Laboratories joyously announces that it will once again be sponsoring the holiday gift program as directed by the Morris County New Jersey Division of Child Protection & Permanency (DCPP). This unique program directly supports area children, who during the holiday season, do not have support systems in place due to circumstances beyond their family control. Many of the children may be parentless and homeless and thus must rely upon organizations like DCPP to assist with normal and adequate living arrangements. The program, originally started by dedicated DCPP employees, provides sponsors with specific, but confidential, information on the child currently under its direction. The sponsor then provides holiday gifts and other incidentals that will be presented to the child on the holiday morning.
The entire Whitehouse Laboratory employee base takes part in this very rewarding program. Employee teams of 4-5 people are established and each team is given the specifics of the child they are responsible to create a holiday experience for. Based upon this information (age, size, toys they would like), the Whitehouse team is granted an afternoon shopping spree to purchase all the items they feel will help to make this holiday season a special one for the child. While the employees do not get the opportunity to actual meet the person, they take great pride and joy in the entire exercise. The company conference room quickly converts to a “Santa Workshop” once all the toys, games, clothes and other items are placed in there for storage. Employees can routinely be heard bragging about all the “good stuff” they acquired for their sponsored child – it can be happily competitive!!
“The holiday season is the time to take a moment and reflect on those less fortunate. While there are many ways to offer support to multiple causes, the fact that we can support the DCPP in a holiday program that has a direct effect on local children is a win-win for Whitehouse Laboratories and our employees. Our employees truly enjoy this program,” states Mark Stier, COO.
