The Shreveport-Bossier Attractions Association and the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau will host its next quarterly seminar, entitled “Engineering Memorable Guest Experiences,” 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 26 at Harrah’s Louisiana Downs, 8000 East Texas Street in Bossier City.
Seminar attendees will be provided with a framework of strategies and tools to engineer memorable guest experiences for their attractions. The hands-on workshop will focus on how to design, develop stories, script and stage experiences. Attendees will also learn tools and techniques necessary to successfully host key market segments like group tours, media, small meetings, conferences and conventions.
Joe Veneto, principal and founder of Opportunities Unlimited in Quincy, Mass., will be the featured speaker. Veneto, aka The Opportunity Guy, is an expert in working with attractions to create unforgettable visitor experiences.
“The goal of this workshop is to help attractions create engaging and memorable experiences that drive repeat business, extend length of stay and increase visitor spending,” said Julia Foley, president of Shreveport-Bossier Attractions Association. “Today’s travelers and media expect greater guest service because they want to share their travel experiences online with family, friends and on user-review websites. It’s important to keep up with industry and consumer demands and provide brag worthy experiences.”
