Freedom Church and Generation Church Merged With Trinity Chapel to Form New Church Called Trinity Chapel South
Powder Springs, Georgia (PRWEB) January 06, 2015 -- On December 21, Freedom Church and Generation Church of McDonough merged with Trinity Chapel of Powder Springs to create a new church, Trinity Chapel South. Pastor David Graham of Generation Church, and Pastor Justin Harley of Freedom Church believe that combining resources and efforts will enable them to better serve the people of Henry County.
“There is a lot of division and conflict in the world, and unfortunately it creeps into churches at times. We want to be a part of changing that. We want to bring people together instead of separating them,” says Justin Harley, the Lead Pastor of Trinity Chapel South.
The church will offer high quality ministry to children, middle and high school students, young adults, as well as supporting various local outreach and foreign missions projects. Bringing the two congregations together creates a multicultural, multigenerational church in Henry County.
“I believe we are breaking strongholds of division in our community so that Christ can be glorified in His church,” says Pastor David Graham, who will serve as the Teaching Pastor of Trinity Chapel South.
To help foster friendships between the two congregations, the church held one combined service at 10am on Sunday, December 21 and again on Sunday, December 28. After that, they plan to go to two Sunday services, 9:00am & 11:00am, to make room for members coming from both congregations, as well as new guests to the church.
Trinity Chapel South is located at 1951 Georgia 42, McDonough, GA 30253. For more information, please go to http://www.trinitychapel.org.
