GEMTEK® Announces Distribution Agreement with Univar for Its Environmentally-Safe Biobased Chemicals
PHOENIX, AZ (PRWEB) December 19, 2014 -- GEMTEK® Products, LLC, a leading manufacturer of industrial cleaners, solvents and specialty chemical derived from renewable biobased ingredients, announces an agreement with Univar to become its exclusive distributor of its SAFE CARE® products in the Middle East, Scandinavia and parts of Africa. Those countries include the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Iraq, Bahrain, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Demark, Egypt, Mozambique and Angola. Univar introduced several of the SAFE CARE® surfactants, solvents and specialty products used for demulsification, soil remediation, tank cleaning and oil spill clean up at the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) in November 2014.
Comprised of plant-based materials, SAFE CARE® products contain alcohols, fatty acids, esters, wax esters, saponifiers, chelators, enzymes and other fractions from soy, corn, palm kernel, potato, peanut, safflower, sunflower, Canola, and cotton seed. The surfactants created by GEMTEK® consist of long-chain molecules, which create colloidal micelle cleaning action. Micelles allow petroleum hydrocarbons to lift from the cleaning surface without causing surface damage thereby reducing lifecycle maintenance costs.
