Green Motion CEO Comments on the Latest Development of the Long Running Enterprise and Euopcar Dispute
(PRWEB UK) 20 December 2014 -- Yesterday it was formally announced by Enterprise that the long running dispute between Enterprise Holdings (the owners of the Enterprise, National and Alamo Rent-A-Car brand) over Europcars commercial use of the National and Alamo Rentalcars brands in Europe, Middle East and Africa had come to an end through arbitration.
Richard Lowden, the CEO of Green Motion Car Rental, said, "I believe it is good for the industry that the long running disputes between Enterprise and Europcar are coming to an end - a bizarre set of circumstances led to two competitors operating the same brand over two continents which, as you can imagine, constantly led to customer confusion."
Lowden went on to say, "I share the industries views that this can only hopefully be a good thing, allowing Enterprise and Europcar to concentrate on the development of their own brands independently."
As well as the dispute between Enterprise and Europcar regarding the National and Alamo brands, the two companies are also engaged in litigation on a global basis with regards to Europcars recent re-adoption of their "e" insignia which Enterprise believe is an attempt by Europcar to pass off their own "e" insignia.
Green Motion who is the worlds only eco based and 100% franchised car rental system has already benefited with the disruption at Europcar with senior management from Europcar Italy leaving the organisation in late 2012 and acquiring the master country rights for Green Motion in Italy. More recently in 2014 the master country franchise holdings for Europcar in Greece left the company and acquired the master country franchise rights for Greece from Green Motion.
