Local Lens is gaining momentum during the holiday travel season, partnering with photographers in over 30 cities worldwide to capture special moments between loved ones. From henna tattoo photos in India, underwater cenote photos in Cancun, a Bavarian family picnic photoshoot in Munich, or a brewery crawl in Austin, get great travel experiences and photos to match with Local Lens.

After launch in late Summer 2014, Local Lens is gearing up for the holiday season. Local Lens provides an online platform for travelers to book family portraits, bridal, honeymoon, and other basic photography services, but also tours! While on a photoshoot, why not go on a tour of a new city, or have a themed photoshoot that represents the culture of a destination? Customers can enjoy services like Henna Photoshoots in India, Underwater Cenote Photos in Cancun, a Bavarian Picnic in Munich, or an Incan Trail Experience in Peru. Local Lens not only satisfies the need for outstanding vacation photos, but the added value of a tour adds a fun twist to the traditional photography market.

Photographers all over the world are encouraged to apply for a position shooting with Local Lens this holiday season. It is a convenient way to supplement income for photographers, and in turn clients do not have to settle for marginally good photos or clumsy snaps by strangers. As soon as a customer books, a Local Lens coordinator manages everything from meeting spot to photo delivery. All the customer says is when and where, and then the rest is taken care of. If interested in applying, photographers can submit their info here:

Developed by Haley Price and Eric Gonzalez and launching out of Austin, TX, Local Lens is currently set up
in over 30 cities worldwide, and as photographers and travelers themselves they understand the value of returning home with a beautiful set of pictures. The first test markets were NYC and Rome, Italy, where complimentary photos were offered to tourists, then uploaded online with an optional survey. The test markets saw success and Local Lens turned its focus to photographer recruitment and marketing.

Photographer recruitment has 3 steps: application, interview, and tour creation. After applying, an interview is then conducted, and upon approval photographers can create their own creative photography services and set their own rates. Local Lens takes a small cut of the of the photographers rate for management and booking fees. Once the customer books they pay the full amount, however the payout to the photographer is not until the photos are delivered. Even with the booking fee, Local Lens is the most affordable Vacation Photography service to date.

In the future Local Lens hopes to expand to over 100 cities and 300 photographers worldwide.
