7th Annual William Mattar Safe & Sober Free Ride Home Program will offer safe alternative to drinking & driving on New Year's Eve

New Year’s Eve is a fun, festive night for going out, but unfortunately, many people choose to drive home after having had too much to drink. William Mattar Law Offices and Designated Drivers of Buffalo are teaming up to offer a safe alternative with the 7th Annual William Mattar Safe & Sober Free Ride Home Program this New Year’s Eve. The program provides safe rides home at no charge on the night of New Year’s Eve for pickups originating within the city of Buffalo. Free rides will be available January 1, 2015 from 12:00am until 4:00am.

Michael Mule, owner of Designated Drivers of Buffalo stated, “On New Year's Eve when family and friends are getting together to celebrate, we would like to help ensure that everyone involved has a fun and safe evening."

When you call Designated Drivers of Buffalo, they will send two uniformed, experienced drivers to pick up you and your car. While there is usually a charge for this convenient service, attorney William Mattar will be picking up the tab during the New Year’s Eve William Mattar Safe & Sober Free Ride Home Program. This program pays for rides originating in the city of Buffalo with a maximum drop-off distance of 20 miles within Western New York.

To request a free ride home, individuals can call Designated Drivers of Buffalo at (716) 202-2222. Rides are provided only to the individual’s residence – not to other drinking locations. Every attempt will be made to accommodate all ride requests, yet due to high volume rides cannot be guaranteed for every caller.

New Year’s Eve Safety Tips:

  •     Always have a designated driver if alcohol is being served.
  •     If you are hosting a party, provide nonalcoholic beverage options.
  •     Decide on your transportation alternative before going out.
  •     Think about the dangerous and serious consequences of drinking and driving.
  •     Call (716) 202-2222 to request a free ride home in Buffalo – tell them William Mattar is picking up the tab.
