Christmas Comes Early for Shoe Station Customer
Mobile, AL (PRWEB) December 22, 2014 -- Santa sent elves bearing gifts for Bonnie Gilliland of Tallahassee a few days early this year. With a $10,000 check in hand, Randy Lambert, Shoe Station’s director of stores, awarded Gilliland as the grand prize recipient in Shoe Station’s 30th Anniversary FREE SHOES FOR LIFE giveaway.
One of the Southeast’s largest shoe retailers, Shoe Station continued the semi-annual promotional giveaway during its 30th anniversary celebration by awarding lucky customers with nearly $50,000 in cash prizes and merchandise. Along with Gilliland, one customer in each of Shoe Station’s 18 stores also received $1000 gift cards, as did one Facebook fan.
“We congratulate Bonnie for winning the FREE SHOES FOR LIFE promotion,” says Shoe Station Vice-President G. Brent Barkin. “Shoe Station has, for 30 years, been the Southeast’s regional footwear chain. We conduct this promotion to give back to those customers who have supported us over the years—many of them since we first opened.”
Shoe Station, founded in Mobile, AL in 1984 by Barkin’s father, Terry, has grown into one of the nation’s largest independent retailers. With 18 stores in five Southeastern states—Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi and Louisiana—Shoe Station carries more than 100 name brands for every member of the family. A new store opens in Spring 2015 in Foley, AL. Several other new locations are also planned, including one in Madison, MS and a larger space in Spanish Fort, AL.
Famous for its large, self-service, open-shelf stores, the regional retailer stocks an extensive selection of shoe styles and sizes for men, women and children. With some stores as long as football fields and nearly half as wide, Shoe Station also offers accessories such as handbags, belts, wallets, socks and t-shirts.
