Amara Africa Conveys Feelings Of Unjust Crime In Single “Michael Brown”
(PRWEB) December 23, 2014 -- Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes announce the release of the “Michael Brown” single by Amara Africa. The single track project is currently available for download on the Coast 2 Coast website. This single was produced by Amara Africa of MixMyMixtape LLC.
Denoh Grear, better known as Amara Africa, is of West African descent and was born in Texas. He has lost family members to the political battles in his native homelands of Sierra Leone and Liberia. He has lost friends to the inner-city violence in the United States and he is now on his second tour of duty to Iraq and Kuwait. Despite all of the despair and suffering, he says his soul passion is to “create a legacy of positivity, survival, and renewal". Ultimately, his goal is to use the proceeds from his activities for a variety of causes including AIDS research, exposing the issues surrounding PTSD, and opening a school for troubled young people with a focus on arts education.
The new single released by Amara Africa is an inspirational hip-hop compilation focused on the racist violence that still goes on today. This song is entitled “Michael Brown” to tribute the young man who was gunned down by police officers even though he was found to be unarmed. To reflect the various cultures that have been a part of Grear’s personal history, he includes elements of African rhythms, American hip-hop, and Middle-Eastern music. This single has a hard-hitting bass to express the anger from the community outreach and a strong, clear message in the chorus. “They shot that boy for nothing”, are very powerful words that convey the feelings of American’s against police brutality.
