Professional Voice Talent Website Secures $1.2 Million Dollars’ of Voiceover Jobs for Actors
Los Angeles, California (PRWEB) December 24, 2014 -- Voice acting is one of those roles that used to be looked down on in Hollywood, but now the big stars are clamoring to appear in the next animated blockbuster movie or appear as the 'voice' of an international brand.
Being part of the industry continues to become more obtainable to everyday folk thanks to online voice over casting websites like the leading site, The Voice Realm. The website booked more than $1.2 million dollars’ worth of voice over jobs in 2014 as the industry shifts to the internet.
The website connects clients who are in need of a professional voice over. These audio recordings are then used for anything from phone voicemail messages, audiobooks, internet videos to radio and television commercials.
Lauren Maree, from voice talent agency The Voice Realm, says that the industry is moving online at such a high speed that they are having trouble keeping up. “Previously a voice over agency in New York City for example would service clients in that area, but now with online voice casting website, we are servicing clients all over the globe. So we may have a British client looking for a German voice, and many times they need the recording back that day. A decade ago that would have been almost impossible to make happen. Now it is possible even within a few hours.”
One voice talent professional who has had ongoing success finding voice over jobs online is Larry Wayne who records from his home studio in California. “On a scale of 1 to 10, it’s been a 9.5. For some reason, even though I am on other P2P sites, The Voice Realm has brought me more consistent business than the other sites have.“
Even though recording equipment is becoming more affordable and voice over jobs from home easier to attain, many people are soon dissapointed when they realize that competition for roles is tough. Many voice over talent may audition for hundreds of roles only to land one.
James continues by confirming how skilled these professionals are in their chosen field. “Most assume that the job is purely reading text from a bit of paper, but people forget about the ‘acting’ part of the job title. The voice actor’s role is to tell a story and create emotion purely through the voice. Before the word’s even come out the mouth there’s the direction that the client is looking for which must be creatively processed before being articulated using nuances and subtle voice inflections.”
The Voice Realm paid out over $1.2 million dollars to voice actors in 2014 which was up 12% on the previous year.
The website can be accessed by anyone needing a professional voice at any hour of the day 365 days a year.
