Matan Tenants and Employees Support Toys for Tots

Employees and tenants of the Matan Companies showed true holiday spirit this year, donating well over 250 gifts to the annual U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots campaign.

This is the 14th year Matan Companies has organized and donated to the Toys for Tots project, which began in 1947 by the Marine Corps Reserve.

The toys and monetary donations were picked up by the Marines today to be distributed to less fortunate youngsters in the community.

"We were delighted with the response of our staff and tenants to our Toys for Tots campaign," said Priscilla Ford, Property Manager for Matan Companies. "So many deserving families can now wake up this Christmas to toys under their trees and smiles on their faces.”

Toys for Tots, a national charitable program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, provides happiness and hope to disadvantaged children during each Christmas holiday season. The toys, books and other gifts collected and distributed by the Marines offer these children recognition, confidence and a positive memory for a lifetime. It is such experiences that help children become responsible citizens and caring members of their community.
