Brian Reiss speaks on “Positioning for Success in the Evolving Regulatory Environment” to UK and European Banking Executives at this year’s Marketforce Conference Event

Brian Reiss, President of Bridgeforce Inc., presented at this year’s Future of Retail Banking Conference, held in London, UK on November 26 – 27, 2014. Speaking to European bank leaders, Brian first relayed several similarities between recent activities of regulators in the US with regulatory activity now happening in the UK. He then provided Bridgeforce perspectives derived from working with banks and regulators in both regions, including suggestions to lenders on how to be successful in the new regulatory environment. These included the following:

1. Embrace the notion that increased regulation is here to stay and take steps to address this issue.
2. Regulators are focused on the customer experience. Business leadership should take an enhanced view of the end-to-end customer experience and operational processes.
3. The path to the future is in operating an effective compliance management system (CMS) to maintain regulatory needs and to prevent customer harm.
