Technology Literacy Assessment for 2015 Now Available to Texas Districts

Continued partnership between TCEA and provides 8th grade technology literacy assessment at no cost to districts.

For the fifth straight year, Texas districts will have free access to a technology literacy assessment for eighth grade students through the continuation of a partnership between the Texas Computer Education Association (TCEA) and More than 166,000 assessments were delivered by 291 districts during the 2013-14 school year.

For districts who have not already registered, they can request participation by completing an online request form at: The deadline to register is Feb. 12, 2015 and the last day the assessment will be available is June 12, 2015.

The online assessment is based on the Technology Applications TEKS (TA-TEKS) and includes a blend of interactive, performance-based, multiple-choice and knowledge-based questions to measure and report technology skills for middle school students.
