Harris Teeter would like to extend a sincere thank you to its generous shoppers and associates who donated more than $594,000 to local food banks during the company’s Harvest Feast Food Drive and Donation Card Campaign. The campaign ran during the month of November in all Harris Teeter locations, and shoppers were invited to purchase $1, $5 or $20 donation cards at checkout as well as donate food to the companywide food drive.
Harris Teeter recognizes hunger affects millions of Americans including hard-working adults, children, veterans and seniors. In an effort to aid in hunger relief, the Company offered its shoppers and associates a convenient way to help fight hunger through participation in the donation card campaign and food drive. The financial contributions made through these efforts equates to 5.9 million meals which food banks and food pantries in Harris Teeter’s marketing areas can supply to the community members they serve.
Harris Teeter would again like to thank its shoppers for helping its local food bank partners continue to make progress in the fight against hunger.
