"I met one of my best friends on FlashChat."
(PRWEB) December 30, 2014
“FlashChat” was featured on NewsWatch as part of its monthly AppWatch, which features the latest and coolest mobile applications on the iOS, Android, and Windows markets. Andrew Tropeano, a mobile technology expert and host of NewsWatch, conducted the app review and shared with viewers how this is application allows users to meet each other over the same Wi-Fi network.
Private chatrooms were one of the biggest fads in the late 90s and early 00s. However the popularity of the anonymous chatrooms fizzled over time, but now they’re making a surprise comeback in the form of applications.
The FlashChat application allows people to connect over the same Wi-Fi network. So say a person is in an office or on a university campus, the application allows these people in nearby locations to meet anonymously. All a user has to do is open the FlashChat app, choose a username, and find someone to chat with.
So users are literally meeting on common ground, which is a very unique feature for the social media world. And what’s also unique about this app is that the private messages disappear from the app and servers a little after the user leaves the Wi-Fi network. So it’s almost like the user was never even there.
