V.A. Benefits Workshop and Showing of the "Honor Flight” Movie
CREST HILL, IL (PRWEB) April 16, 2014 -- War-time veterans and their spouses, who may need assisted living or nursing care, may be entitled to a significant monthly income from the Veterans Administration. Based on eligibility, the benefit amount can range from $1130-$2085 per month. Presented by Kenda Pardy and Bruce Rocasalvo of VETS, LLC, the workshop will help attendees learn about what benefits may be available, who qualifies, and how to apply.
VETS, LLC will also be bringing the Honor Flight movie to Willow Falls. Honor Flight is a documentary about a national project called the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight that was started to bring World War II veterans to Washington D.C. to see memorials built in their honor. The original premiere of the movie set a world record for the largest attendance at a movie premier, with 28,442 people in the audience at a stadium in Washington, D.C. VETS will be showing the movie to the workshop attendees. It is a great opportunity to honor the veterans.
Many veterans are residents of senior living communities, especially The Willow Falls Senior Living Community. The community holds special events to honor their veterans, especially on Memorial Day and Veterans Day. Whether a veteran needs care now or in the future, there may be benefits available to help them live comfortably in a safe and thriving senior community.
Join us for this opportunity to honor veterans and learn more about these valuable benefits at 10:00 a.m. in the Willow Falls Recreation Center located at 1691 Willow Circle Drive, Crest Hill, IL 60403.
