The ex-private banker, Swell Soubra will be seen in his first movie The Incision, which will be screened at Cannes and Toronto Film festival, respectively this month and in September. Unlike other actors, Swell Soubra used to be a Swiss private banker who has become a Hollywood actor. Fed up with the corporate environment, frustrated by the financial crisis and the banking life style, he decided to quit everything to give a true meaning to his life, by becoming an actor.
He worked for an important bank in Geneva for very wealthy clients until he finally hit the wall. Although, he was having a decent living his life felt empty. As he says, “There is a moment in your life where you realize that you have to lead your destiny towards your true happiness”. That’s when he decided to quit the stock markets for the audition rooms.
The Incision is a story which points out a real and sensitive subject of our society, organ trafficking. Swell Soubra is the lead and is staring with Daniela Junko a famous Brazilian actress known for the movie Rough Mix. Before stepping into film festivals, Swell got a major part in a play called Middletown directed by Milton Justice an Oscar Winner Director. He also took acting classes in Hollywood at the renowned acting school, The Stella Adler Academy.
