Duesenbergs, Packards, Stutz Bearcat, Tucker Motorcars at the Founders Day Classic Car Event July 19, Paris Hill, Maine
(PRWEB) June 24, 2014 -- The 36th annual Founders Day and Classic Car Exhibit will be held on July 19th on Paris Hill, Maine between the hours of 9am and 5pm, rain or shine!
Each year, for just one day in July, Bob and Sandra Bahre open the doors to their extraordinary private collection of classic cars to the public, for benefit of the Hamlin Memorial Library and Museum.
The Bahre Collection attracts visitors worldwide as one of the most significant collections of Duesenbergs, Packards, Stutz Bearcat, Delahaye, Tucker, and many other rare vehicles from the Golden Age of Motorcars. Children will love the ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’ car, racing enthusiasts will enjoy a race car and other racing memorabilia. Movie lovers will enjoy seeing the actual Studebaker horse drawn carriage used in the filming of ‘Gone With The Wind’. The collection also includes rare antique dolls, toys, ‘Gypsy’ wagons and more.
Plenty of free parking and entertainment on the Paris, Maine village green with food vendors and a crafts fair.
The Bahre Motorcar Collection is inside so the event will be held rain or shine on Saturday, July 19th from 9am til 5pm. Donation is just $10 for adults and $2 for children under 12, with all proceeds to benefit the Hamlin Memorial Library and Museum. The museum, once a 19th century jail, is located next to the birthplace of Hannibal Hamlin who served as Abraham Lincoln’s Vice President during President Lincoln’s first term in office.
