Canto and CoreMedia Launch Joint Solution for Online Distribution of Media Files Assets
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) June 17, 2014 -- Canto, a leading provider of digital asset management (DAM) software and CoreMedia, a leading provider of Web Content Management (WCM) software are intensifying their cooperation by linking their two systems Cumulus and CoreMedia 7, respectively, through a jointly developed interface. The solution combines the effective management of media files with the distribution of content through various online channels.
Cumulus is an established DAM system that enables companies to manage and distribute all kinds of digital content, offering extensive functionality for metadata and license management, versioning and user roles. CoreMedia 7 is a next generation customer Experience Management hub that enables companies to manage content assets and customer experiences - not just web pages. Working in coordination with Canto’s Cumulus software, the CoreMedia WCM system delivers contextually relevant content across various channels, such as websites, mobile applications or e-Commerce systems.
The integration of Cumulus and CoreMedia 7 avoids duplicates and ensures that the WCM system always delivers the right versions of a file. Workflows are streamlined because files are automatically synchronized from one system to the other – including metadata. Martin Schlüter, Head of Partner Management at CoreMedia considers the ability to distribute personalized content as one of the main benefits of the integration. “The exciting thing about Cumulus is the ability to dynamically provide content to the WCM, allowing CoreMedia to manage and deliver an individual customer experience. Our clients need to be able to deliver personalized content depending on user behaviour, device or sales history – and now with the Cumulus integration editors no longer need to worry about picture sizes or file formats. CoreMedia 7, Cumulus and the interface take care of these tasks."
Canto and CoreMedia have been working on joint customer projects for more than a year now, "Our systems target similar customer segments and complement each other perfectly on a functional level. We quickly realized that our systems also speak the same language on a technical level. Some joint customers are already using the integration of Cumulus and CoreMedia and we look forward to further extending this integration, identifying new use cases and gaining further joint customers," said Thomas Mockenhaupt, Director of Sales EMEA at Canto.
