Bankruptcy Judge Authorizes Chapter 7 Trustee, Ronald J. Hof and Sperry Van Ness/Gilmore Auction to Sell Assets for One Bid

The remaining assets of the historic Brennan’s Restaurant of New Orleans (http://www.brennansneworleans.com) will be sold at a bankruptcy auction on Wednesday July 9, 2014, 10:00 AM. The auction will be conducted in Courtroom B-705 at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, 500 Poydras Street, New Orleans. Qualified written bids are due by Monday July 7, 2014, 3:00 PM at the office of Stewart, Robbins & Brown.

Brennan’s Restaurant has been a culinary phenomenon since 1946 creating some of the world’s most imaginative dishes, set the standard for fine French Quarter dining and became famous for “Breakfast at Brennan’s”. The remaining assets of the iconic Brennan’s will be sold to the highest bidder on July 9, 2014. The assets include:

  • Brennan’s trade name, trademarks, service marks and logos
  • 1000+ bottle wine collection

  • Recipes, menus, FF & E and customer lists
  • Artwork & memorabilia

The Trustee is seeking competitive bids above $3,000,000 with the minimum bid set at $3,075,000.
