Spanky Assiter (Texas) industry veteran and official auctioneer of Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auctions, was elected Vice President by majority vote of National Auctioneers Association (NAA) members. After this coming year of vice presidential duties, Assiter will assume the leadership role of NAA President in July 2015.

Sharon Huisman (California) was inducted into the NAA Auxiliary Hall of Fame. To garner this lifetime achievement, inductees must be nominated by a peer and then chosen by a panel of past recipients of the prestigious award. Introduced by their close peer and mentor, inductees were unaware of the honor before hearing their names announced then were joined on stage by a surprise processional of family, friends and business associates. Rowell was also awarded the diamond gavel for his contributions to the National Auctioneers Foundation (NAF).

Jason Miller, Ohio, took home the title of International Auctioneer Champions (IAC) winner in the Men’s Division. Contestants are judged on their bid calling skills, showmanship and interview questions. TJ Freije (Indiana) and Dustin Rogers (North Carolina) were named first and second runners-up, respectively. All three IAC winners are MarkNet Alliance members.

Matt Hostetter (Pennsylvania) was recognized as an up and coming leader in the auction industry at the IAC, receiving the Bob Steffes Rising Star Award.
