Skylor Powell Launches a Kickstarter For Dietary Book Called The Shift
Portland, OR (PRWEB) September 11, 2014 -- At least thirty percent of the food Americans eat today comes from a package after it’s been genetically modified, flash-frozen and doused in chemicals. With grocery shelves stacked with high fructose corn syrup and the percentage of obesity nearing 35% of the population, there is an increased demand for education on the obstacles and the solutions of eating well. Skylor Powell is pleased to announce the launch of a Kickstarter for The Shift, a book that provides the education and meal plans necessary for readers to overcome the three struggles Americans face in finding a healthy relationship with food.
Many diets provide a blueprint to follow that focuses on achieving the end result. Though this may lead to short-term success, the restrictive process leaves participants feeling discouraged and sends them back to the comfort of old habits. The Shift takes a systematically complete approach by addressing the basics of nutrition, the role of emotional eating and the obstacles that our modern food systems propose. Participants are set up to for success because they not only learn to prepare delicious meals, they understand the logistics behind why certain foods leave them feeling bloated and fatigued while others leave them energized and satisfied. They become confident in their weight, their skin, their food choices and their attitude, with no doubt that they can do it all again tomorrow.
The Kickstarter campaign will aid Skylor in completing, publishing, and distributing the book. The funding will close on September 27th, 2014.
