The Spa Standard, announced today that Jenny Farrand has joined the company to lead the start-up in developing content and courses for their online social educational platform. Jenny brings to the company over 15 years of experience in massage therapy, esthetics, day spa ownership and 5 star resort spa management with companies including Orient Express Hotels and the Capella Hotel Group. Prior to transitioning into the role of educator, Jenny gained extensive industry insight through planning, staffing, training and leading the opening teams at four unique spa properties.
Most recently, Jenny served as the National Education and Training Director for Universal Companies, Inc., where she focused on establishing an interactive online education program, developing a team for hands-on customer training, designing spa treatment protocols, and serving as a subject matter expert for the marketing team.

Her current position, overseeing content and course development for Spa Standard, allows her to assist in providing a unique educational platform for both spa industry educators and for Spa Standard members, who are passionate professionals across all areas of the spa, salon and wellness industry.

The online element of our service will be presented with cutting edge technology to provide a fun, interactive experience for our instructors and members alike. Spa Standard addresses this by utilizing actual spas and live instructors in key areas of the country. The hands-on classes and seminars will, in most cases supplement an online experience.
