Shelf Drilling, Ltd. Goes Live with the World’s First Global Deployment of Oracle’s Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) September 28, 2014 -- ADI Strategies, Inc., an award winning Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and Business Intelligence (BI) Professional Services firm, announced today that they have implemented Oracle® Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service™ (PBCS) for over 60 global business users at their client, Shelf Drilling, Ltd., a private company headquartered in Dubai, UAE with rig operations and offices across Southeast Asia, India, West Africa, Middle East, North Africa and Mediterranean.
ADI Strategies’ implementation marks the world’s first global implementation of PBCS, a flexible planning application based on Oracle Hyperion Planning™ that supports enterprise wide planning, budgeting, and forecasting in a cloud-based deployment model. Leveraging their QuickStart™ Cloud Advanced Model approach, ADI Strategies’ project team in Dubai provided an integrated, world-class, enterprise-scale planning tool to replace Shelf Drilling’s previous non-integrated solution. The PBCS solution will provide the required agility to the planning process by aligning financial plans, models and assumptions across Shelf Drilling legal entities and cost centers, enabling quicker and more accurate projection information to support business decisions. The PBCS application has removed past cycle complexities, reduced cycle time, improved standard and ad-hoc reporting, as well as reduced effort from administrators and enhanced performance due to a cloud-based model.
“Today, by partnering with ADI Strategies, we are budgeting and forecasting revenue, operating expenses, capital expenditure, balance sheet and cash flow within one solution,“ said Ian Clark, Executive Vice President, Shelf Drilling. “The first budget process using PBCS is anticipated to be completed by the end of October 2014. Over 60 business users will now be able to complete needed adhoc analysis capability to analyze the actual and forecast data, what-if scenario modeling, support multiple versions, variance analyses and revise, iterate and aggregate information based on up-to-date data.”
“I am very excited to be a part of the team to implement the world’s first global application of PBCS,” said Murat Demirkol, International President of ADI Strategies. “However, most rewarding is our partnership with Shelf Drilling and our ability to move this market leader to an improved planning, budgeting forecasting solution and exceed their expectations.”
ADI Strategies also leveraged pre-built functionality available in the PBCS framework to support several key requirements of Shelf Drilling, including:
- Financial Data Management Enterprise Edition™ (FDMEE) functionality to support data integration with source systems, including JD Edwards™ and Hyperion Financial Management™, to improve efficiency, eliminate manual input and reduce the risk of erroneous data entry.
- Hyperion Financial Reporting™ for financial reporting, including monthly profit and loss, headcount and variance analyses, and SmartView™ for ad-hoc reporting, including asset category level capital depreciation, balance sheet and income statement by entity, location and cost center.
