Abracon Introduces New 2x4/2x8 Multi-Port, 10/100Base-T, Press-Fit, Modular Jack Connectors Suited for High Volume Production
Rancho Santa Margarita, CA (PRWEB) March 27, 2014 -- A globally preferred, leading supplier of frequency control and magnetic components, Abracon Corporation has expanded its modular jack product line with the newly introduced ARJC05-240008 and ARJC05-280008, multi-port RJ45 connectors for telecom, data, networking and home entertainment applications.
“Our multi-port RJ45 product is a low-profile, compact solution with durability rated at 750 cycles. The thru-hole mounting provides a strong connection and easy assembly to the end-user’s PCB,” explains Syed Raza, Director of Engineering at Abracon.
“These devices are available in 59.0x25.2x28.2mm or 115.0x25.2x28.2mm, low cost, RoHS compliant packages. The multi-port package design allows for several RJ45 jacks to be placed on a circuit board as a single element, addressing space constraint applications. The demand for multi-port magnetic jacks is increasing, as designers continue to pursue optimization of PCB real estate,” continues Raza.
Abracon’s integrated magnetic RJ45 product line is compliant with IEEE 802.3 specifications, offering a minimum inductance of 350 µH. These devices exhibit a maximum insertion loss of 1.0 dB, over a 1 MHz to 100 MHz frequency range. These multi-port magnetic jacks further combine connectivity with signal conditioning, while suppressing electromagnetic interference and improving signal isolation.
Target applications for these devices include: servers, switching hubs, routers, set top boxes, digital TVs, LED TVs, printers, desktops and notebooks, among others.
Key features of the ARJC05-240008 and ARJC05-280008 include:
