Lawyer Paul R. Fransway Joins Dickinson Wright in Ann Arbor to Co-Lead the Firm's Franchise & Distribution Practice Group
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (PRWEB) October 03, 2014 -- Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that Lawyer Paul R. Fransway has joined the firm’s Ann Arbor office as a Member. He will serve as Co-Leader of the firm’s Franchise & Distribution Practice Group alongside Attorney Ned Levitt from the firm’s Toronto office.
Mr. Fransway serves as primary franchise counsel for a number of national franchisors, and he helps them comply with disclosure and registration requirements under the Federal Trade Commission and various state laws. He is also an expert in all aspects of franchise contract enforcement, including covenants not to compete, trademark infringement, and post-termination remedies, both in court and in arbitration.
Mr. Fransway is a member of the American Bar Association’s Forum on Franchising and the National Association of College and University Attorneys. He also acts as special counsel and as a director or trustee for a number of community organizations including various primary schools, post-secondary educational institutions and national nonprofit educational organizations. He is recognized as a leader in Franchise Law by Best Lawyers in America, Dbusiness, and Who’s Who of Franchise Lawyers. Mr. Fransway received his B.S. from Michigan State University, his J.D. and his LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Houston Law Center.
