Mr. Pang’s chapter “Forms of Investment and Business in China” will advise foreign investors on how to do business in a new China in the new millennium. Mr. Pang walks readers through foreign direct investment in China including the process in China, joint ventures, the foreign exchange registration system, intellectual property, and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

Mr. Pang is Of Counsel in Dickinson Wright’s Washington, D.C. office and a Member of the Board of Advisors, IPO Pang P.C. in Shanghai. He specializes in international corporate law and investment involving China and Chinese clients – inbound or outbound. He has over 35 years of experience with complex cross border transactions, intellectual property protection and anti-counterfeit initiatives, and is well-known for his ability to obtain difficult, hard to get licenses, permits, approvals and government support for entry by a foreign enterprise into highly regulated Chinese industries as part of an overall foreign direct investment in China. Mr. Pang has represented clients in regulated industries, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, gaming, telecommunications, television, information technology, and government contracts. The chapter was completed with the help of John Tan, Ken Zhang and Rachel Zhang, associates at the firm of IPO Pang P.C.
