Inspire little kids to stay positive amidst desolation

Narrabeen, Australia (PRWEB) August 12, 2014

According to the Anxiety Disorders Association of Victoria, Inc., about five to ten percent of Australian children and teens suffer from depression. While it is considerably lower compared to the adult statistics, one cannot simply dismiss the juvenile cases that, when not detected at a young age, may progress to a less manageable scale as the child matures. Such reason prompts various social and medical efforts to help kids with an early bout of depression. In which case, clinical psychologist and author G A Barker uses his creative literary talent with “The ‘Snowed in’ Adventures of Wallace the Wild Snow Goose” (published by Xlibris AU) to inspire little kids to stay positive amidst desolation.

“The ‘Snowed in’ Adventures of Wallace the Wild Snow Goose” is the story of a little wild goose named Wallace who sat stranded in a frozen lake. Alone and without the usual amity of his fellow goose friends, he began to feel lonely and desolate. Just when he thought he’d never get through, the other Arctic animals pulled together to bring the sunshine to his otherwise cold winter.

In an engrossing tale that teems with original illustrations in every page, a compelling narrative and a moving life lesson to tell, Wallace’s adventure inspires young readers to build friendships and see the good in people; it attempts to inculcate positive thinking in children and encourage them to achieve personal happiness by sharing.
