The first-ever Market New York Expo – a business-to-business trade show, conference and networking event – will provide small business owners and executives with marketing strategies and sales tools to improve communications with customers and prospective clients. The event will take place 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, May 29, at the Metropolitan Pavilion, 125 West 18th Street, in Manhattan.

“50 percent of business sales are lost because visitors can’t find content. That’s a massive percentage of missed opportunities, which can easily be rectified,” said Event Management President Marc Sherer, citing a study from Forrester. “We want to empower small business owners with the tools and strategies they’ll need to nurture business leads, establish their brands and grow their footprints in the competitive marketplace.”

Leaders from global marketing corporations such as Facebook, Yelp and Constant Contact will present on topics ranging from search engine optimization to social media advertising to closing sales in the digital age, with 20 live seminars scheduled over the course of the day. Facebook is also sponsoring the Social Media Lab, which will give attendees a chance to learn about best practices for social media marketing from social media experts.

More than 100 exhibitors will be available to help small and mid-sized business owners improve their companies’ performance and growth on the product and service show floor. Marketing leaders are encouraged to network with small business owners and executives on the show floor.

Market New York Expo is a spin-off event from the New York Business Expo and Conference (NYXPO), the largest and most comprehensive business conference in the Northeast. Last year’s NYXPO drew nearly 10,000 business owners and executives, along with more than 180 exhibitors and dozens of esteemed presenters.
