U.S. Antique Shows Reports Another Successful Year of Record Attendance at The Original Miami Beach Antique Show

Exhibitors Enjoyed Confident Shoppers Buying Quality Pieces

U.S. Antique Shows, the world’s leading producer of indoor antique shows, recently announced a four percent increase in overall attendance at the 53rd Annual Original Miami Beach Antique Show. Known as the world’s largest indoor antique show, this five-day event showcased nearly 1,000 established national and international dealers at the Miami Beach Convention Center, Jan. 30 – Feb. 3, 2014.

“For our 53rd year, we’re excited that we continued to see a record number of people attending and buying antiques,” said Dan Darby, group show director for U.S. Antique Shows and vice president of GLM. “Our show sets the tone of antique purchasing trends for the year and we were glad to hear that our exhibitors overwhelmingly reported successful sales from both enthusiasts and collectors on a variety of merchandise.”

U.S. Antique Shows also reported that 90 percent of exhibiting dealers renewed their booths for the 2015 show.

The Original Miami Beach Antique Show 2014 premier sponsor, The HighBoy, was thrilled about the show’s endless accomplishments. Longtime exhibitor with U.S. Antique Shows, Robin Greenwald of Greenwald Antiques was also glad to be part of this year’s show. She commented on the amazing number of attendees who visited the show on the opening day and the consistent pace that continued throughout its run. “I can attest to the fact that crowd of shoppers came in and didn’t stop for several hours. We’ve never seen a crowd like that!” She continues, “Selling was fast and furious and attendees were confident and buying. It was fantastic!”

Eli Noor of Ely & Co., one of the largest diamond dealers in the country, was located in the Palm Ballroom at this year’s show. “We specialize in fancy colored diamonds and we’ve enjoyed the action of this year’s show. There are a lot of shoppers on the show floor and we’ve seen a lot of interest at our booth.”

U.S. Antique Shows now produces nine shows nationally. The next shows scheduled for U.S. Antique Shows are the LA Antique Jewelry & Watch Show, March 21-23 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza and the Pier Antique Show, March 29-30 at Pier 94.
