$50,000 Prize Awaits the Top Team in the American United Baseball League
Los Angeles,CA (PRWEB) February 26, 2014 -- The American United Baseball League (AUBL) is accepting teams for their upcoming season. The AUBL is first national league to have a structured playoff system with thousands of dollars in prize money paid to teams for League, Regional, Conference, and National Playoff winners. Players from 64 leagues in 4 regional conferences will compete at the chance to bring home the glory and the green.
According to Larry Lunsford, AUBL‘s executive director, “We are the only national adult baseball organization with a structured national playoff system that produces a National Champion.”
Players will get the chance to participate in a highly competitive national level league, where every game counts, for registration prices comparable to most adult leagues. The top four teams will duke it out at Petco Park, home of the San Diego Padres.
The winner of each league and the 2nd place team will advance to the Regional playoffs. The teams will win $4,000 and $3,000 respectively. Each Regional Champion team will win $5,000 and advance to the Conference Playoffs. Each Conference Champion Team will win $7,500 and advance to the Final Four. Both will be double elimination bracketed playoff tournaments.
The two Final Four winning teams will advance to the 2nd round and play for the National Championship. The two Final Four losing teams will advance to the 3rd place game and play for the $15,000 prize. The Final two teams will play for the National Championship. The 2nd place team will receive $25,000 – The National Champion will receive $50,000.
Individuals can earn the chance to win prizes for their accomplishments (Conference MVP, Conference RBI Leader, Etc.). Elite All-Star Teams will be named every year. Sign up information is available through the league’s site and early registration is now open.
Opening day is Apr. 26. The Final Four National Championship will run from Oct. 31 through Nov. 2 in San Diego, CA.
