The Canada Nevada Business Council, a non-profit organization dedicated to the development of business and economic ties between Canada and Nevada, has recently announced the appointment of Robert Groesbeck to the position of President of the organization. The council also welcomes United Development Solutions LLC as a charter member. In addition, Troy Hoekstra, President of United Development Solutions, and Leonard Wright, a Certified Public Account, have both been seated on the Advisory Board.
Mr. Groesbeck was elected to his new position by the Executive Committee at its December 10, 2013 meeting. Following the announcement, CEO of the Canada Nevada Business Council, Frank Spady, shared his excitement over the recent changes in the organization, stating, "The Canada Nevada Business Council is moving in a great direction and the future looks bright with Bob’s leadership skills. He has been an integral part of the Canada Nevada Business Council team since the organization was founded, and his promotion demonstrates the board’s confidence in his ability to steer the organization in the right direction going forward."
Mr. Groesbeck’s previous position with the Canada Nevada Business Council was Vice President Government Affairs/General Counsel. He also served as the Mayor of the City of Henderson, Nevada from 1993 to 1997. Mr. Groesbeck also serves as General Counsel and Director of Government Affairs to C&S Waste Solutions with operations in Southern Nevada and Northern California.
