It’s not enough to just recognize the confidence gap between men and women. It’s vital to give women new tools to allow them to raise their confidence levels.

CAPOW! is a new iPhone app designed to assist women to build higher levels of self-confidence. CAPOW! Confidence And the Power Of Women is available for download from the App Store on June 3, 2014. The app contains a simple three-step process for women to coach themselves to greater confidence with a fun, up-to-date and interactive tool.
Creators Bonnie Hill and Janet Slack noticed in their decades of work as life coaches and therapists that there was a common struggle shared by many women. Women simply don’t have the same level of confidence as men and their lack of confidence holds them back.
Bonnie Hill summarizes the impacts of lack of confidence this way, “Lack of confidence leads to doubt about our abilities, failure to set challenging goals, and not taking calculated risks. That certainly impacts life success,” according to Dr. Timothy Judge of the University of Florida, people with high levels of self-confidence have better job performance, more job satisfaction, and higher incomes – earning as much as $28,000 more than people without confidence at the same professional level. In The Confidence Code, Katty Kay and Claire Shipman assert that for women, confidence is a more important employment success factor than competence.
In response to their findings with female clients, Slack and Hill developed a three-step process to use with clients to raise their confidence. It is based on Positive Psychology and the latest findings from neuroscience. Now they introduce the CAPOW! technique to everyone through this new app.
Slack says, “It’s not enough to just recognize the confidence gap between men and women. It’s vital to give women new tools to allow them to raise their confidence levels. CAPOW! can be used for a quick boost of confidence in the moment or, with continued use over time, it can raise a woman’s overall confidence level.”
