Dedicated to building better communities, the mission of the Community Associations Institute (CAI), an international nonprofit organization, is to provide education and resources to community association homeowner leaders, professional managers, association management companies and other businesses and professionals who provide products and services to community associations. Ms. Urbaniak skillfully manages the day-to-day operations of the Greater Los Angeles Chapter office, which includes supervising 13 committees of volunteers, overseeing community outreach activities and providing members with relevant resources and industry information. She is instrumental in orchestrating more than 30 networking events throughout the year where members can support one another. “At all of these events, I bring people together to foster communication, encourage business and advance education,” says Ms. Urbaniak.
Joan Urbaniak has a proven track record when it comes to fundraising and has raised more than $500,000 annually by securing sponsorships, making key connections and holding highly successful networking events for CAI.
