National Association of Professional Women Announces Joan Urbaniak, Executive Director, Community Associations Institute-Greater LA, a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year

Ms. Urbaniak is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business. Ms. Urbaniak skillfully manages the day-to-day operations of the Greater Los Angeles Chapter office, which includes supervising 13 committees of volunteers, overseeing community outreach activities and providing members with relevant resources and industry information. She is instrumental in orchestrating more than 30 networking events throughout the year where members can support one another. “At all of these events, I bring people together to foster communication, encourage business and advance education,” says Ms. Urbaniak.
Joan Urbaniak has a proven track record when it comes to fundraising and has raised more than $500,000 annually by securing sponsorships, making key connections and holding highly successful networking events for CAI. She has also helped many organizations improve their business. “I have been successful at turning around organizations and helping them form strategic alliances and grow their membership / product offerings, which enable them to thrive financially,” she says.
