New Book Makes Spanish Accessible through ‘Don Quijote’
BEACHWOOD, N.J. (PRWEB) December 04, 2014 -- The epic story of Don Quijote comes alive for Spanish learners in the new Spanish language textbook from authors Gerardo Valecillos and D. Padmore-Rogers, “Don Quijote de la Mancha: Actividades y Ejercicios Uno de los Libros más Famosos de la Literatura Hispana” (published by Xlibris).
Valecillos and Rogers share the beauty of the original novel “Don Quijote de la Mancha” by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra in its native translation. Inspired by the many chivalric novels he reads, Alonso Quixano vows to revive chivalry under the name Don Quijote. The book documents Don Quijote’s many wonderful adventures.
Each chapter begins with a detailed vocabulary list that readers can reference as they go through the book. The authors also include grammar and reading comprehension exercises to help students learn and master what they have read, and all exercises meet core curriculum standards.
With their book, Valecillos and Rogers hope to guide new Spanish speakers and introduce them to one of the greatest novels of Spanish literature.
