Lawyer Eric Lavers Joins Dickinson Wright LLP in Toronto
DETROIT, Mich. (PRWEB) February 04, 2014 -- Dickinson Wright LLP is pleased to announce that Eric Lavers has joined the firm’s Toronto office as Of Counsel.
Mr. Lavers practices intellectual property law with an emphasis on the acquisition, protection and enforcement of patent rights within Canada and around the world. In addition to drafting and prosecuting patent applications, Mr. Lavers also regularly provides opinions on a diverse range of patent issues, including patentability, infringement, validity and freedom-to-operate, as well as intellectual property and technology aspects of commercial transactions. He has worked extensively with clients in a wide array of technology sectors, including the electronics, telecommunications, aerospace, optics, acoustics, analytical physics, power control, and software fields.
Mr. Lavers is a member of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada and the Toronto Intellectual Property Group. Mr. Lavers is called to both the Bar of Ontario and the New York State Bar. He received his B.A.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto and his J.D. from the University of Toronto.
